Then there were the three critical ball losses, and the two from Josh Allen in particular. An pass caught by defense in the end zone resulting in a nine-minute drive produced nothing, and his fourth-quarter dropped ball that the Dolphins turned into a touchdown just two plays

It was typical 'previous Bills teams' as they shot themselves in the foot, getting into a hole on defensive side and Josh Allen attempting to overcompensate to rescue his squad from the situation - rather than the calm, disciplined, well-balanced Bills we've seen this season

Miami have served up a bit of everything this season so the verdict is uncertain on if this is the beginning of a trend, but for Buffalo they'll require an instant response in a tough game against the Buccaneers in week 11 as the Patriots are sneaking into a comfortable advantage at the summit of the AFC East

Speaking of the New England, they're one of three eight and two squads in the NFL, all American Football Conference teams, but are they the best?

One could find flaws in the Patriots, the Broncos and the Colts actually for dominating the weaker opponents, with just five of their combined twenty-four victories achieved against opponents with a positive record - and one of those was the Indianapolis beating the Denver

While you can argue who 'the best' is statistically, the Patriots should be favorites to finish with the best record thanks to their schedule - which includes just one game against a winning team, albeit a huge one against the Bills

Visiting the Ravens is also tough, but the Broncos have it even tougher in the AFC West division with the Chiefs to play twice, the Chargers (who might also challenge for first place but face the identical challenge) and additionally the Green Bay on the schedule

The Indianapolis also face the Kansas City, and have the Seahawks, San Francisco and two games with the five and four Jacksonville to face. There's a long way to go but the opportunity is available for a shock number one position in the AFC

Next Week - Rams & Seahawks Set for Next Week Clash

Both squads with solid claims to be superior to all of the three different eight and two teams are National Football Conference West opponents the Seahawks and Rams, who each put up 40 burgers to go to 7-2 before next week's Hollywood blockbuster game between the two in Los Angeles

They've both secured four victories in a consecutive games, have signal callers in Stafford and Sam Darnold performing at an high standard (although Sam Darnold had ball security problems on Sunday) with top receivers, and defensive units allowing under 20 points a game

Both could realistically be undefeated as well - especially the Los Angeles as their two defeats occurred in overtime against the 49ers and then that painful defeat in Philly when they had a game-winning field goal with the last kick blocked and run back by the Philadelphia for a touchdown

The Seahawks were also defeated to the 49ers, with a late touchdown in the opening week, before falling to the final play of the game against the Tampa Bay - so they are genuinely two of the best sides in the league

The upcoming game on Sunday could be the most exciting of the season to date
