Passionate supporters of the pop star are demanding that a individual who breached a barrier and seized the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A circulating footage shows the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside camera operators and charging at Grande while the performers proceeded down a yellow carpet surrounded by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the event by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "released after being arrested", though legal records indicated that he was scheduled to attend court on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

History of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a performance. His Instagram profile includes clips of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney concert in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the area last winter.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is obviously a legal violation," stated an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Voice Worry Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Several supporters blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said another message on Instagram.

Some attendees also criticised event staff at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while some demanded online networks to ban Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In footage circulating online, Grande looked surprised when she was touched by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Many of Singapore supporters had lined up to see the cast of Wicked

Hundreds of attendees had congregated in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore venue, including a number who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The movie, to be launched on 21 November, is the follow-up of a two-film interpretation of the popular Broadway and West End show Wicked, which centers on the unexpected bond between two very different characters.

The show itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and scored 10 award recognitions, winning two for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
