Los Angeles witnessed citywide celebrations after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-game World Series championship. Supporters across the globe joined local residents in jubilation, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a team has secured consecutive championships.

Celebration Parade Attracts Massive Crowds

Los Angeles area events included a downtown parade on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.

Social media videos show countless of Angelenos packing downtown streets, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The squad was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy high.

“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to do this,” the star player remarked through an interpreter.

The procession path concluded at Dodger Stadium, where the team walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and Ice Cube cruising a Pacific blue vintage Cadillac around the stadium’s outfield.

Celebrations started well before the parade, with supporters setting off fireworks in the roads of Downtown Los Angeles on the previous evening.

The World Series MVP, named the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, commented plainly about the win.

“Losing is not an option,” Yamamoto stated. “I adore this team. This city means everything to me.”

Varied Responses and City Unity

However, the team owner was met with a cooler welcome at the celebration. Video footage from the event appear to show Walter walking onstage to a mix of applause and boos, with jeers interrupting his address.

The championship served as a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for the city. An estimated 225,000 people showed up to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, supporters this year demonstrated as much if not more enthusiasm.

“It seems it’s nearly twice from last year,” Freeman remarked. “These fans are crazy. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
